Freeform varifocal lenses are the most advanced versions of progressive lenses. They are created by computer-driven equipment and are made to suit each individual specification.
These lenses are called “back-surface lenses” because of the technology used to create them. Back-surface technique allows us to create lenses with much more sophistication, making it possible to optimize the vision of a person according to his or her individual prescription.
Using free-form varifocal lenses comes with many benefits including clearer vision, improved field of viewing area and minimised distortion in the peripherals or edges.
