Most lenses get scuffed or scratched over time unless we treat them with great care and always place them back in the case when not in use.
However, to help avoid scratches and protect your lenses, we do provide a scratch resistant coating on our lenses in the Bronze package and above.
Whilst an anti-scratch coating can help with very light scuffing, it can never protect your lenses from scratching. Thus, we always recommend handling your glasses with kid gloves and cleaning them carefully with an optical cleaning cloth.
We offer polycarbonate lenses in all our rimless glasses (at no extra cost), which is very tough and all our high-index lenses (1.60, 1.67, and 1.74) come with this coating as standard.
We do have to repeat, however, that an anti-scratch coating will only protect your glasses from very light scuffing. Please do not expect it to protect your lenses when you scratch them along a wall!
