Health – Nutrition
Adequate
vitamins and minerals are essential to ward off certain problems
and may also help reduce your risk of contracting cataracts and
macular degeneration.
There
are many such supplements available in most health stores but all
of these vitamins and minerals are found commonly in many foods,
so a healthy and varied diet in most cases could well help to ward
off any degeneration of the eye. For example Vitamin A can protect
against blindness, and Vitamin C may help in the alleviation of
Glaucoma. Some essential fatty acids are required to help guard
against macular damage. But the favourites that have been proven
to help against Macular Degeneration are Lutein and Zeaxanthin.
