Our Laboratory
We prepare our lenses using the same processes,
technology and suppliers as those employed by high street opticians.
"Our only compromise is on price, NOT quality"
All
orders are handled individually by experienced and skilled
technicians at a laboratory with over 25 years experience
of supplying high quality prescription glasses to opticians. From
receipt of your prescription, through every stage of the production
process to despatch of your finished glasses, our laboratories
use the latest computer technology to check the accuracy and
quality of our work.
That means you can feel secure in the knowledge
that what you order is what you will get.

A technician prepares the semi
finish lens for the blocking machine |
The technician then lines up the
semi finish bifocal lens for blocking spec |
Entered details are checked against
the details on the computer system |
The computer checks for super
accurate alignment |
Robotic arm prepares the lens to
be blocked |
The lens is then probed for precise
center thickness, edge thickness & base curve |
The lens is then generated from
the data input in an air-tight, clean and safe environment |
The newly generated lens is then
prepared by the smoothing machine |
The smoothing machine then polishes
the lenses to give a crystal clear, perfect finish |
Another technician uses state
of the art equipment to position the lenses in exactly
the right position for cutting |
A blocking pad is then attached
to the lens in preparation for the cutting robot |
The technician then loads the job
into the lens shaping production line. |
The robot automatically edges
the lenses to ensure an exact fit into the frames
specified |
We take great pride in every single
pair of glasses that we produce. |
