Using our Virtual Mirror is easy. You can either use one of the pre-defined faces within the mirror or you can upload your own photograph from your local hard drive or use your web cam if you have one. Please ensure that the image file type you use is a jpeg image and the file name contains no spaces (File size between 150K and 600K is best). For best results, upload a digtal photo rather then use your webcam. Please follow these steps:

Step 1

Upload your own photo from your Computer

Click on the 'Upload' button and navigate to the photograph you want to use on your computer.

Step 2

Place the pupil finders over your pupils

Place the pupil locators over your eyes. You don't have to be too accurate at this stage!

Press 'Continue'

Step 3

Now place them more accurately

Now with your face blown up, place the pupil locators as accurately as you can over the center of your pupils.

Press 'Continue'

Step 4

Drag the centre line to the centre of your nose bridge

Many peoples eyes are a different distance from the center of the face. This step allows you to slide the center line so that it is in the center of your nose bridge.

The mirror will then decipher for you the difference in the distances once you enter your overall PD into the mirror in the next step.

e.g. You might have an overall PD of 63mm. However, one eye might be 32mm from the center of your face and one eye might be 31mm. Choosing the center will allow the mirror to do the maths once you have told it your overall PD in the next step.

Step 5

Select your Pupilary distance from the drop down menu

Select your Pupillary distance from the drop down menu by hovering over it and clicking the figure you want.

If you don't already have this and don't want to take your own you can use an average of 60mm for women and 63mm for men. The most accurate results however are obtained from entering your own PD.

Our mirror works by scaling your face to the glasses. This means that any you try on will appear exactly as they would look if you were trying on the real thing. Our mirror really is leaps ahead of any other Mirror on the Internet.

Step 6

The mirror presents the picture all to scale and with your eyes perfectly level

Your uploaded photo is then automatically cropped and scaled by our mirror and straightened so that your eyes are level in the view finder.

Get someone else's opinion

Email your photo to a friend

Probably the best feature about our mirror is that you can save your pictures to your desktop as postcards OR even better, email them to family and friends for their opinion on whether the glasses suit you or not.

To do this simply press the 'SAVE' button under the thumbnail picture of the glasses you want to send. This will open another window with the two options displayed. You choose!

Have fun!
